True to its tradition, Spice Telecom, Punjab's premier cellular service provider, today, added even more spice to the lives of its subscribers by launching a new-exciting quiz based game called KAUN BANEGA LAKHPATI. To participate in this contest Spice subscribers simply need to Dial 124.

Dial 124 was launched as a gaming channel for Spice subscribers in the year 2002. Since then Dial 124 has always added excitement to the lives of many Spice subscribers through contests like: Music Masti, Sawaal Hamare Aur Swift Aapki contest, One 2 Ka Four, Independence Day special & Diwali Dhamaka. The latest edition in this series is, Kaun Banega Lakhpati, will provide Spice subscribers a unique opportunity of becoming a 'lakhpati' and at the same time a chance to take home attractive weekly prizes like 20" Colour TV, Microwave Oven & DVD Player.

According to Mr.Mukul Khanna, General Manger - Marketing, Spice Telecom, Punjab "Spice has always made efforts to understand the needs and requirements of its subscribers and offer them the best value added services. With the increasing popularity & awareness about mobile gaming, we decided to launch an exciting new game show, Kaun Banega Lakhpati, wherein our subscribers can test their knowledge & skill through this contest, and in the bargain also get a chance to become a lakhpati! The contest will culminate in the grand finale where the Bumper Prize winner will be announced."

Kaun Banega Lakhpati

Kaun Banega Lakhpati, is available to both pre paid and post paid subscribers at a nominal charge of Rs.10/- per minute. The quiz comprises General Awareness questions. To participate subscribers need to dial 124 and answer questions. There are three levels in the game and four questions at each level. In each level Subscriber would get three lifelines:

(i) 50-50 i.e. out of the four options two options would be removed
(ii) Flip i.e. the subscriber would get a new question
(iii) Hint i.e. a clue to the answer would be given to the participant.
The rules of the contest are as follows:

1. Subscribers will be assured of a prize if they answer all the 12 questions in a single call correctly. On giving a wrong answer, one can forego the earned points & move onto the next question OR play the same level again.
2. Every multiples of 25000 Pts gets an entry to the Weekly Draw. Every multiples of 50000 Pts gets an entry to the Bumper Draw. 3. Every subscriber would have a Score Bank, where his/her scores get accumulated weekly.
4. Winners will be informed through SMS or call.

Spice subscribers can play the game as many times and as much as they want to accumulate more points, so as to increase their chance of winning the weekly & bumper prize. The bumper prize of Rs.2 Lakh would be decided through a lucky draw among those who have qualified for the prize, at the end of the contest on 15 January 2005.
