Spice Telecom, Punjab's premier cellular service provider today announced innovative tariffing, by offering telescopic call rates for its prepaid subscribres. The subscribers now can enjoy reduced call rate in the second minute of calling. Spice announced new tariffs in its prepaid segment which will bring down the outgoing call charges by as much as 50%. These tariffs will come into effect from June 21st and will be applicable to both new as well as existing Spice prepaid customers.

With the announcement of these new tariffs, Spice-to-GSM mobile local call charges will become as low as 45 paisa per minute after the first minute, which would be charged @ 65 paisa/min. The Spice-to-local landline call rate will be reduced to 95 paisa per minute after the first minute, which would be charged @ Rs 1.05/min. This new rate will further propel the growth in mobility club.

The existing Quicky Light plan has been modified as Quicky Megatalk. The tariff plan offers lowest local call rates, as mentioned below. Besides the new rates, the daily rental, which was earlier charged @ 75 paisa, will now be charged @ Rs 1.50 for first 60 days & 80 paisa thereafter. Alongwith this, a new tariff plan was also launched on the prepaid platform, called Spice Quicky Minitalk. The MRP of this unique plan is as low as Rs 99. A subscriber can recharge for lowest denomination of Rs 54, and can stay connected for upto 11 days, which includes 1 day of validity & 10 days of incoming; a benefit offered only by Spice. Under this new plan, the local call rate is slashed to low of 5 paisa/sec & STD rate to 8 paisa/sec (Call setup charges 50 paisa/min for all outgoing calls)
