In what can be called an exciting cricket tournament with the corporate biggies in Chandigarh, Spice Telecom has entered the Finals of the 2 nd Fun Cricket Tournament 2007 being held at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, by defeating Fullerton by 5 wickets today . After winning the toss, Fullerton decided to bat first. However the decision did not pay back, as Fullerton batsmen could not score freely to the accurate bowling display by the Spice Telecom bowlers.

The Fullerton team was all out in 19 . 1 overs at the meager score of 114 runs. For Fullerton , Vikas and Naginder scored 35 and 29 runs respectively. For Spice Telecom, Sumit and Sachin shared 3 wickets each.

In reply to Fullerton score, Spice Telecom's opening batsmen made a flying start by blasting 71 runs in just 8 overs. The Spice Telecom's opening pair of Vikas and Naginder scored 35 and 29 runs respectively. Spice reached the target in just 17.2 overs by losing only 5 wickets. For winning team, Sudhir blasted 49 run not out while Sumit scored 22 runs.

In the second semi-final match of today, Airtel defeated ICICI Bank Limited by 53 runs. Batting first, Airtel scored 157 runs at 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, ICICI team was all-out for 100 runs. Avinash Bansal who scored fine 52 runs and took 1 wicket for winning team was declared man of match. The final match will be played at PCA Stadium, Mohali tomorrow.
