To celebrate the festive season with excitement and zeal, Spice Telecom , Punjab's premier cellular service provider in collaboration with J9 Mobile , today announced the winner of an exciting SMS contest ‘Kar de Balle Balle' . The mega prize winner of the contest Vipul Singla of Moga took home the all new Hero Honda CD Dawn motorbike.
Vipul , the lu cky Spice subscriber, was pleasantly surprised, he said, “Although I have been using a Spice connection for last 5 years but this is the first time I have participated in a contest, and I feel very lucky to have won 5 DVD players & a bike. I never thought I could win a bike by just playing a simple contest over SMS I will participate in more such contest from now on.”
‘Kar de Balle Balle' contest
This month long consumer initiative also provided an opportunity to Spice pre-paid and post-paid consumers to win a DVD player everyday. As a part of this contest 30 subscribers were awarded DVD players. The Mega Prize was the Hero Honda CD Dawn motorbike. The contest started on 17 th October, 2007 and the draw for the Mega Prize was held on November 15, 2007.
• The contest ran on Spice's SMS short code 50555. To participate one had to send ‘MEGA' to 50555. SMS was charged @ Rs 3 per SMS.
• Subscribers needed to answer simple questions based on Bollywood and general knowledge. Each correct answer won the participants 10 points. The highest scorer of the day were eligible to the Daily Prize - a DVD player. The Mega Prize - Hero Honda motorbike went to the participant who earned the maximum points in the contest
