They have also made select numbers from old series' available for their subscribers. All Special & premium numbers in the existing/old series and the new 99145 series will be auctioned online for pre-paid and post-paid subscribers on the Spice Punjab website (www.spiceindia.com) .


The most favored of the premium numbers include the Octa 5 series, i.e. 98555 55555 , the Penta series 99145 55555 , and the auspicious number 99145 00786 . The special numbers have been categorized as following:


•  Octa digit : 98555 55555

•  Penta digit : 99145 xxxxx

•  Single digit : 99145 0000 x

•  Double digit : 99145 000 xy

•  VIP number : 99145 00 786

To bid for a Special Premium number, one needs to simply log onto the Spice website, www.spiceindia.com , register them and submit their bid for a number of their choice.

Commenting on the auction of premium numbers, Mr. Mukul Khanna , VP- Marketing , Spice Telecom , Punjab , opined that “From time to time new number series' provide the subscribers with the option to choose a number of their preference. Hence, on popular demand, we have decided to allocate select premium numbers to our subscribers. To create a sense of fairness among our subscribers, we will make these numbers available to the highest bidders. The most favored of these numbers include the Octa 8 series, i.e 98555 55555 , the Penta 0 series, i.e. 99145---00000 , the traditional 99145---00001 or the auspicious number 99145---786 . To make the process more convenient, we have launched the auction of numbers online, through the Spice website www.spiceindia.com . Subscribers will simply need to log onto the Spice website, register themselves and bid for a number of their choice. The bidding is open from 25 th September for a period of 30 days.”
